Training Session for
Extraordinary Ministers
of Holy Communion

If you are interested in becoming an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion,
there will be a training session on Saturday, August 28, 2010 @ 10:00 A.M in the Church
and we would invite you to attend. If you are currently a serving minister and it has
been four (4) years or longer since you have been trained it is recommended that you
attend to learn of changes that have been incorporated by the Diocese.

To join this ministry you must meet the following requirements:

Sincere Christians of age from adolescence (high school age on) through adulthood acknowledged by peers to be active Catholic Christians.

Faithful Catholics who have received the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation and participate faithfully in the sacramental and liturgical
life of the Church.

Fostered their own devotion to the Eucharist and show an example to the rest of
the faithful by their reverent and prayerful manner.

For more information please contact
Tom Greathouse at sfceucharist@verizon.net  or 817-722-8484.

Catechists needed!
Would you like an opportunity to share your Catholic faith? The Youth Formation program is in need of catechists (teachers) for our Faith Formation (Religious Education) classes. A variety of classes are offered on Sundays and Wednesdays, running from September through April. We need people who are English speaking, Spanish speaking or Bilingual. Must like working with children anywhere from the age of 3 up to high school. We need teens and
grandparents too! Not into teaching? We also need
office and craft help too! If you’re interested please contact
Yvette Crumly at 817-481-2685 or ycrumly@sfatx.org for more information.

Bible?
The Catholic Biblical School,

University of Dallas, provides an opportunity
for adults to come to know, love, and live scripture through
an in-depth Bible study from a Catholic perspective.
Classes will begin in September, 2010. For more information check
the website at www.udallas.edu/ministry/cbs  or
call the Catholic Biblical School at 972-721-5393.
